You’ve been invited to be a part of a new and exciting venture that aims to revolutionize the way artists and professionals in Hawaii’s Urban, Street and Hip-Hop community network and do business.  URBAN 808 is multi-phase project, consisting of two main components.


The first component is a monthly television special to broadcast on Time Warner’s OC16 and stream online at www.OC16.tv.  The television show will highlight artists, individuals, organizations and music videos that are impacting the Urban and Hip-Hop community in the state of Hawaii. 


The second component is our website, Urban808.com.  Urban808.com is a place where visitors can watch every episode of Urban 808 and find exclusive clips, interviews and never before seen footage.  Other content includes news, reviews and articles about the latest music, trends and fashion but most importantly, Urban808.com is creating a massive online database of professionals and artists, who are actively involved in Hawaii’s Urban, Street and Hip-Hop scene.

One of the highlights of Urban808.com are the FREE artist and professional profiles, which range from Musicians, Record Labels and Dancers to Shops, Nightclubs, Promoters and more.  That’s where you come in.  Urban808.com relies on artists and professionals, such as yourself, getting involved by creating profiles and submitting content.  We would like to give you a chance to build a profile, make your voice heard and show the 808 state what you’re all about.

WHO GETS A PROFILE?

While everyone is welcome to apply for a profile, not just anyone can qualify.  Unlike other social networking websites, like Myspace or Facebook, Urban808.com is more of a magazine-styled professional database, comparable to www.imdb.com.  All submission are screened and filtered, ensuring that only profiles submissions that meet our professional criteria are approved.
